Summer's Almost Over

This song was written several months after Cheryl's 50th birthday. She was thinking about her life and all the wonderful things that had happened to her.

As she mentions in the song, she had gotten a lawn tractor for her birthday. The line about "And the thing I knew I couldn't do and now I know I can" refers to an offer to perform at a folk festival in Amsterdam. Chery originally didn't think she could perform there, but it worked out fine.
